Mountain Dew Pound Cake

Ingredients
  • 3 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 TBS lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp orange extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 7 oz. Mountain Dew
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease one bundt cake pan or two loaf pans with
  2. butter and flour.
  3. Cream butter until fluffy. Mix in sugar and beat until combined.
  4. Add in eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition. Add in lemon juice, vanilla, and orange extract. Mix.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Alternate adding small amounts of the flour and Mountain Dew into the wet mixture, mixing slightly to combine in between each. When all ingredients are added, mix to combine (without overmixing).
  7. Place batter in the bundt pans or divided between the two loaf pants and bake for around one hour (or until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean).
  8. Let the pans cool and either remove the cake, or slice right from the pan.
