Friday Favorites: September 20

Friday Faves Sept 20

This week has been book-ended with weddings, which means love is all around! I’m such a sucker for weddings. There’s a romantic story with a happy ending, dancing, cake, and a themed party. I can’t get enough. While I pack my waterproof mascara and fancy dresses, check out some of my favorite things from the past week!

Favorite Video: DIY DAMMIT
Nerdist announced a new show on their channel called DIY Dammit. It’s funny, informative, interesting, and everything I want out of a crafting show. I could watch these all day, but unfortunately there are only two out so far. Check back each Monday for more! Start your addiction with these two: How To Make a Dinosaur Planter and How To Make a Boy Scout Shirt Pillow.

Favorite Kickstarter: Mission: G.E.E.K. (Ginormous Exciting EBook Kaper!)
Alan Kistler and Jessica Mills are going on a road trip to see the exciting geeky things in the US, and on the way they’ll be recording their adventure in an E-Book, web series, and photo diaries. These two are amazing, entertaining, and all around great people. I can’t wait to see what comes of this! Back their project here.

Favorite Beauty Items: Julep Maven’s October Box
I just got to pick my selection for the upcoming Julep Maven box, and I’m really excited. These boxes come with a new Julep eyeliner as well as nail colors from the “Rebel Collection.” The Bombshell box includes a great sparkly teal and a rubbery/matte looking black that will be perfect for cosplay. They also have some fantastic add-on colors including a shimmery glow in the dark polish called “Casper.” Check it out!

Favorite Game: Magic: the Gathering
I’ve recently become kinda hooked on MTG. I still have a lot to learn, and I lose most of my games, but I’ve been enjoying getting to know the cards. I’ve been playing a lot of red decks, and I hope to check out black and white next  draft. Don’t know much about Magic? Visit their site!

What amazing things have you discovered this week?
